Both father and son were in Thrissur busy shooting for their respective films. Dulquer was given off by Sathyan Anthikad to go home for the celebration. Both father and son are back home to celebrate it with their small family.

At this special occasion Dulquer shared some fond memories of his dad`s birthday celebrations. "My dad used to rush back home for birthday`s, even though it is late night, we used to anxiously wait for him without sleeping. He would cut a small cake in the backdrop of a candle light and share it among us. Most of the time it was just a small family celebration."

He also said that he doesn`t remember his father indulging in any lavish parties or celebrations during his birthdays`. "Sometimes he brings with him few close friends. He would then ask to make few favorite dishes for the guests. It was biriyani most of the time. Even though it is past midnight everyone will happily have it and quit for the day. He didn`t like presents or loud music for his birthday celebration."

"I cherish the fond memories of Vappachi`s small birthdays in the backdrop of candle light than any other big parties. Even I like Vappachi`s birthday more than my own birthday."
